Double Journal Entry #3- "The Keypad Solution"

 "She adds that part of the appeal of texting shorthands is their novelty, and that that will fade."


I personally do not believe that the hype about technology and texting will ever die.  It is like talking on the telephone.  Once the telephone was invented and everyone got one, it never left the scene because why go back in time and back to the old way of life when you do not have to?  Texting itself may become obsolete just like every other technology has been outdone by newer things eventually, but even then, there will be something new that beats texting that will replace the hype and cause more appeals and more research just like texing did.
