1. Media in Education is simply adding texts, audiovisuals, etc. to the classroom in order to emphasize what is being taught. Media literacy is using others' works to synthesize your own ideas and teach in the classroom.
2. If they give rights to the keep, they are encouraging them to find new ways to teach and use resources that are already out there to create their own.
3. It is difficult for people to get copyright licenses now, and sometimes they are just unavailable.
4. Judges seek to find if the work is being used in an education contexts and if the use of the work will infringe upon the original copyrighted material.
5. Yes- She is using the video to demonstrate racial stereotypes and help teach her point. She is not harming the future of the copyrighted material.
6. I believe the principle that relates the most to my digital story is the nature of my work. All of my work was to benefit West Virginia and encourage others to do the same.
7. Yes- Only pieces of information that are relevant to your work should be used. By using large pieces of the sources work, you are plagirizing and using their work instead of your own.
8. No- It is lawful to use pieces of their work for educational purposes.
9. Yes- It is necessary for teachers to be able to use media literacy in their classroom, so if their school will not allow it, they should do something about it.
10. Fair use is not a right; it is only a defense.
